It’s always been something I’ve wanted to accomplish but have always found a reason to put it off. Too busy, not good enough, not complete. Whatever the reason, it was always holding me back. Perhaps I was just too afraid to put it out there. Some of these songs have been around for years. Lullaby is going on nearly 10 years already. I couldn’t wait any longer. And once you make that kind of decision, it’s hard to stop the momentum....

Pink Sunrise

Is it just winter mornings that give such vibrant colors in the sky? I love this time of year. I feel like the crisp air makes the colors we see that much more vibrant. This was taken with just a moment’s notice at about 6:30 in the morning as the sun crept up on a cheap cell phone camera.

Why I Chose A Static Site Generator

So using a static site engine was more an exercise in getting back to basics. I’ve used Wordpress and other blogging patforms. I’ve used a variety of flat file and database driven CMS’s. I’ve built from the ground up using writing my own structure or using Foundation, Skeleton and Bootstrap. I’m not saying that any of those things are wrong. There’s no doubt in my mind that I wouldn’t have the comfort I do moving to a static site engine without having experienced the nuances of other systems....

David Bowie – An Inspiration

I’m sure that on this day there are many people listening to, humming or just thinking about David Bowie. It was a shock to hear of his passing this morning and I’d like to think that the world senses the loss of his amazing impact on our society over the last few decades. His pioneering creativity will always continue to inspire me.
